If you meant 1911 magazines then use the search function and type in 1911 magazines. Go thru some of those threads, lots of good info there.
Garands use clips (enbloc), 1911s use magazines.
I think Col. Colt was the thread originator . . . very informative.
John Browning's blueprint listed it as a magazine,but it was a clip that held that famous piece of paper to the drawing board!

Since the .45 ACP case dia is .473 you can load them onto 7.62mm NATO 5 rd stripper clips. I use either Wilson 47D, Shooting Star (both 8 rd) or 7rd USGI magazines.
