6.5 x Swede cast bullets - My First!

I DID IT! I cast up some of those loooong boolits, loaded them over 8 grains of Red Dot and shot 'em at 200 yards yesterday! Thanks to an old gentleman at the range, with a killer spotting scope, I got on paper and proceeded to shoot an open-sight group of about 4 inches or so. I was thrilled! Thanks for all you guys on this sight, that share your knowledge with us noobs!

Good job. I did some last week with 12 grains of Unique water quenched and air cooled bullets but didn't do quite as well but I'm still looking for my best load!

.................Kewl beans! Most any powder is gonna work if you'll keep your speed down below 1800 fps. Around 1650 is usually magic.

Thanks guys! I haven't chrono'd these yet, but they are probably pretty slow. But what a sweet shooter, almost no recoil whatsoever.
