I have a Mark VI. Never owned a Star so I can't compare them. It is a quality machine

Cool. Thanks for the Link! It looks like the fully loaded price is very comparable to the star. I think I will start saving my pennies.

They're nice, work on the same basic principle as the Star, use the same dies and have LOTS more "HP and torque" for sizing hard/oversize bullets.

Several times, when I still had my Star, I stuck bullets in the die and bent the handle. Made a better handle - handle quit bending, stuck bullets were still a bear to remove. Then one day got the bright idea to pull the die w/stuck bullet and put it in the Ballisticast.... pushed right out with little effort.

If you don't need the extra strength, they are both nice machines.

i love mine. the new owner has incorporated all the stuff i did to mine as well as added a vent hole to get any air pockets out. i just received the upgrade temp controler and will be installing it over the weekend.
and you mastercasters.........wait about a month or so when they come out with something that i'm sure you will like (a new mold i talked to mike about), just a tease for now!
