    swapped battery lead for THIS!!

i swapped out battery plate lead @285 lbs to the local scrap dealer , 3 lbs to one pound of good lead my picking ..., i took the good advise of the friends here on cast boolits, and didnt melt any, anymore ... so i got 85 lbs of this .... and i got also a bucket of heavy truck weights from a auto shop he said he will never use any of the truck weights so take them and , he also gave me @ 50 lbs almost pure clip on wheel weights not shown in the pics. nice score , had to shout out on this looks like 60pounds lino and 2 swiping solder bars and feels like soft lead ?? does that sount correct to you all...?, .........sorry cut it down to 1 pic to save space

I'd say you came out on the good end of the stick! Looks like some lino ingots and some tin rich solder.

the wiping solder is most likely 50-50.
those pigs could be either linotype or window sash weights [looks like they had eyes on both ends]

    Probably
Hit it with some other pieces you know to see if it is the softest.

I saw some weights like the ones with the eyes many years ago that came from a Dumb Waiter.

I have never found a Bunker Hill ingot of that shape, apparent size and marking that wasn't pure unadulterated lead.

    Well done!

Wiping solder is just less than 40% tin, from what I've been able to learn. Still a good deal.

Sounds like a good deal. This is definitely the best way to handle batteries.
