Anyone cast for 20ga sabot type slugs?
Looking to get into it but was wondering about accuracy.
I currently only cast for my 50 cal muzzleloader, have a few selections.

I currently am making 12 ga. slugs, but the weather is so nasty i haven't tried them yet. From what i've read about them they can be very accurate using a smooth bore and a rifled screw in choke tube. I loaded up several different loads and am iching to try them. I used the Lee 1 oz mold, WW alloy(finished slug weighed 416 grs), loaded them with my favorite trap loads, 1 oz wad and 17.2 grs of Clays, 209 win primer. They went together perfect no special crimp. I used my Mec 600 jr- removed the shot holder. My guess the 20 ga slug will work just as good.
I've done some work with the Lyman 12 gauge sabots in a rifled barrel (Mossy 835). Some good results, but still more work needs to be done. Overall I think there is good potential. I'm no expert, but I think I'll end up with a load I'll trust at 100 yds.
