You know I've watched more nature shows in my lifetime than one could possibly imagine. I know I've seen them next to people before but for the life of me I can't recall those wolves ever looking that big.

That's the way I like to see a wolf.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

I'd like to have to pics on hand every time some local alarmist claims he saw a wolf in his field. I'll admit we have some big coyotes, but not THAT big!

Thankfully the pictures appear to have been taken somewhere outside of Alabama.

Several years ago I saw what I thought was a Red Wolf in the Cades Cove area of the Smokie Mountains NP. I realize now that what I saw was most likely a Coyote.

Those are the best kind of wolves. Dead ones. Most likely taken in Alaska.

I've been fortunate enough to have lived in places where we have no wolves. I have never seen one in the wild and had no idea they were that big!

Those pictures made me go to my gun safe and hug my double barrel 45-70 and dry fire my .454 for about an hour. Geeze, can you imagine what it takes to feed a monster like that?

I'm not in favor of the introduction of wolves but those pics look suspect to me.

If you have never lived in Alaska, you probably have a hard time realizing just how big a wolf can get. Didn't see that many while stationed there, but those that I did see were of a size like those in the pics. Never got a shot at one! Came close a couple of times, but by the time I got the snow machine stopped and the rifle off my back, it was to late.

Here's a picture that I know is for real:

This might give some perspective as to wolf vs. coyote vs. person
