Yesterday I cast up some of these bullets, plain base version, from 20:1 to see how big they came from the mould. Since I had them I tried paper patching some for my 30-06. Loaded over 57gr. RE-22 +.3cc BPI buffer, they were holding about 3 inches at 200 yards today on our hanging steel. Zero problems, fast, accurate. Looks like this would be a heck of a deer load. Next I need to try to catch one in water filled milk jugs just to see what the expansion is like. I didn't think such a soft boolit would work at that speed, but it did. Pretty neat stuff!
I shot some Lee 200gr. paper patched as well, expected them to work and they did very well. I think I'll get a recoil pad for my rifle if I keep shooting those. They tenderize my shoulder. What a great way to start 2012!
