A Poacher Is A Thief... And We Are The Victim.
I shoot Wolf large rifle primers. No complaints .
I use Tulammo and wolf primers in Large pistol Small Pistol Large rifle and small rifle. I have about 20,000 of them I have not had a FTF yet. They fit and function fine. If i have a few FTFs for the money I have saved with them I am ok with that.
Bought 30,000 LP Wolf primers three or four years ago. I use them in pistol and rifle reloads and find they work fine. No problems at all and the price was spectacular.
Marty-hiding out in the hills.
I have used 3,000 Tula Mag primers and 1 had the anvil missing in it. No FTF. I have another 7,000 left and will buy more when the time comes.

I have shot well over 20K of Tula primers this past year and they replicate Winchester primers in all my pet loads.
sure fire stuff ! I will continue to use them. They now import Berdan primers and I got 10K bought and am reloading GP 11 Swiss and 303 British with these. Again great results.
I get my primers at Dagammo.com and they are super to deal with.
Wolf primers are a great value. I use small pistol, small rifle, large pistol and large rifle. Out of the many thousands that I have shot, there has only been one that "may have malfunctioned". I say may because the round still fired, and it still cycled the action but unburnt powder blew out the end of the barrel. I am torn between thinking that it was a primer failure, a bad load of powder or something partially blocking the primer hole.
Wolf large rifle primers give fantastic standard devations and extreme spreads. They are tighter than Federal match, CCI benchrest and Winchester. The only primer that perfoms better is the remington bench rest. Just my 2 cents.
I would like a little lube with my OBAMA CARE!
I use an awful lot of the wolf primers in both large and small rifle. They preform better than any other primer that I have used except the rem 71/2. And the 71/2 beat it out by very little.
The very young do not always do as they are told.
I've been Wolf SR primers in the 300 Whisper and have no complaints.
russkie primers are all I use, never a FTF.
Thanks guys i will give them a shot
A Poacher Is A Thief... And We Are The Victim.
i purchased 2k a while ago and just now got around to loading them. im using the large pistol in my 45 fired out of a springfield 1911. probably 1 out of 7 has a FTF rate. some times i can run several mags without issues but then ill have a bunch of them. i bought a bunch of Small Rifle as well but havent been able to load those yet.
I have used Wolf primer in most sizes and have found them to be excellent!
Ken
I'll continue to buy them.
I use them because they are cheap. Accuracy is on par with the more expensive primers and have had no FTF 1 primer got stuck in my Dillon tube and my only real complaint is that the cardboard section of the containers they come in don't fit too well.
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!

How do they compare with federal primers in relation to hardness ??
Shooting revolvers with light mainspring tension, just enough to fire 'soft' federl primers, how does wolf compare ??
Cheers
Wolfs are harder than Federals. I would call them about as hard as a Winchester.
I have loaded and shot many thousands, still have maybe 10K of various sizes left, no problems to mention EXCEPT that they area smidge bigger and fit tighter in the primer pocket. Great for older brass. However takes more force to seat them deep enough, especially on Seller & Bellot brass (OMG!) so I have seen fail to fires, that fired on second strike, which I would call primer not seated deep enough, and not a primer fault.
Due to market fluctuations I am no longer buying range scrap jackets.
Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nunc
Usually, when one encounters many FTF its primers not seated fully. Been reloading over 50 yrs now and I can document few primers that were really at fault and badly made. I have had lots of CCI that were hit or miss in a given box but not the case for the entire 5K brick.
As to Tula, over 20K and no issues at all. I use a RCBS automatic prmiing tool that mounts on the bench for all primers these days and I can feel them seat in pockets. I can't get that feel with Dillon progressive presses (own two) and frankly, these primer systems will jam up due to residue dropping from decapping spent primers on the FL / Decap die stage. When the system jams up, its a PITA to tear down and get running again. I no longer mess with these systems and hand primer all brass going into my progressives, my turret or into my Rock Chucker and Co Ax.
That said: Tula primers perform in these progressive priming systems like any other US primer until the system itself malfunctions. Thats a mechanical thing with no connection to primers in system.
There is one thing about Tula: they are priced right, they are in great supply and they are sold here all the time. Availability, performance and price all combine to make them my primers of choice.
If you want a good deal on primers there are many places. I go with Dagammo.com cause prices shown are shipped prices and the gent owning the business is a USMC veteran.
I go with DAGammo both because of the price and, on the basis of one meeting with him and a couple of phone calls, Dominic is a he** of a nice guy and very helpful, straight up and honest when he can't be at the moment.

I went through about 20k Wolf small pistol primers in the past year or so. Maybe I had a bad batch, but I'd have a FTF about every 200 or so, on average. No problem with practice ammo, but I didn't use them at matches. I've used a similar quantity of CCI small pistol primers with not one FTF. I'm still tempted by the price, but for now I'm sticking with the CCI.
