Reckon I need a new screw checker. The screw fits into the number 8 hole and is a fairly loose fit in the number 10. A 10-32 fits the the rotor's hole, obviously the wrong pitch, though. Also, I measured the thread length (3/16") not the overall length of one-quarter inch.

Thus, I owe everyone an apology, for providing some incorrect information.

    From Lyman:
It is a 10-36 thread screw. It has .190" long threads and is .25" long
    overall.

So there IS some Service in Lyman's Customer Service.

my #55 has a "buggered" screw as you can see,it barely screws in and at an angle to boot ,it just looks nasty .
soooo i'm gonna take the drum out put it in my drill press vice and d/t another (hopefully vertical, straight,)hole and put a bress screw in there ,if i can find one.
my #55 is dedicated to 16 grns 2400,
the unflow does the other stuff.
i know i'm rambling but it's saturday and my wife said i can ramble today.
    have a good-un.

    Hi Gents,

First let me say thanks for all the advice and offers of help.

    Marvelous attitudes by all.

I have managed to re-cut the thread and now have a working 55 doing very well indeed.

Apologies for the lateness in my post, I have been away looking for a new job in the North. No Internet or phone coverage where I was.

I need to get some courses done and hopefully will land this new job.

P.K. , a very generous offer mate. Maybe use the Lee to help a young shooter or for someone in need. I would not feel right taking up such a wonderful offer when there are others who may need it more.

You are definitely a good bloke!

Good to hear that you got it working.

And, speaking of work, all the best at getting the job.
