U-Fix-Em'?

has anyone here heard or orderd a U fix em latley from SOG or Century arms? i would like to know because i would be interested in using me C&R to get about 5 or 6 Mosin nagants to play around with or any other gun for a good price,

I bought some from CIA about 2 years agop.
You definately get what you pay for.
Most are bottom of the barrel.
Th 308 Isralli Mausers I bought were complete junk.
I was able to salvage the bolts and not much more.

All that said I have a friend that got a couple of good ones from them about the same time.
So I guess it is pay your money and take your chances.

I picked up a 1908 Brazilian Mauser U-FIX-EM a couple years ago. Underneath all the greasy mud that was caked on it it was actually useable after a lot of work and scrounging up a few parts. Made for a fun project...
I've been thinking about doing a MN myself.

...............I see in the U-Fix-Em listings they have 1894 Brazilian stripped recievers listed.



This rifle above was built on such an action from them (bought several years ago) and is chambered 7.62x39.



The above is another. It's chambered 35 Remington. The parts to complete the action came from Springfield Sporters.



Another action was sectioned to shorten it to use for a carbine in 45 ACP.

I remember the actions were $4.95 each or 6 for $25. A buddy and I each bought 6 of'em. What's unique about the 1894 Brazilian action is there is no thumb cutout in the sidewall. The ones we got were made by both Loewe and FN. Of the 6 I got, one was un-useable due to pretty extensive pitting under all the areas that had been covered by wood.

The actions were machined to take the 'Chinned' bolts, but round (regular) ones work fine.

Buckshot you do awesome work. Someday I want to have a lathe and mill, room to put them, time to use them, and a little more skill (lot more skill)!
