HI AGAIN,
Did not cast today , all the snow melted in Provo. DRAT!
A tad over 1400 Lee TL 230gr about 46.6 lbs worth. Tumble lubed 1480 158gr 38spl while waiting for the pot to heat.
I actually cast a few boolits today!
Most were wrinkled and rounded but some were OK.
All were shiny! (All stickon WWs, nothing added.)
Started writing it up and decided it was more like a "casting equipment" post
so it's over there:

two days late–but on Sunday I cast with my two cavs: C312-160 2r, 356-102 1r and c429-240 swc.
maybe 10 lbs total. All Lee molds.
The wifes off to work and the dogs are sleeping or is it guarding the house?
Going to clean out the mix in the pot and start afresh.
Got a brand spanking new NOE 429421 in the oven as I type. Just got done cleaning it.
So with that all said and done it's going to be 429421 for me!!!!!

I cast around 400 Lee C312-185-1R for my Mosin-Nagants and around 200 C338-220-1R for my Budapest M95 carbine that slugs .316/.334. Would have cast more but I was interrupted by a power failure for about 1 hour.

Nothing! It has been raining of late and I cast outdoors. I have sorted my wheel weights. % gal of stick-ons and 5 gal of clips. As soon as it dries out they will become ingots.
Another batch of several hundred RD TLC311-165-RF. I think I'm going through these faster than I am through my stash my .45 boolits
ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
I cast 700 .30 cal. 150 gr.flat-nose boolits today. The Lee 2 cav. mold was brand new and I thought I would never get a good boolit out of it. I cast 60 before I got 1 keeper. Finally turned the pot up a little, added some tin (pewter), and got the mold very hot with my hot plate. I found I have to pour quickly to get good fill-out (Lee production pot IV), and leave a generous sprue. Once I got it figured out I had a blast.

500 w/a Lyman 358-477, 2 cavity, out of pure lead.
15lbs of 265 Ranch Dogs for my 44's.
Just got done heat treating most of them and now the lube is drying.
EDIT: Just got done sizing/GC/Final lubing now they are on final drying.
They don't look like much, but they sure do shoot good.

Ohio turned cold again .. (snow fluuries this morning) After I arrived home from church, I fired up the lead pot with my 50/50 alloy (WW's/pure) and a tad of tin. I cast up a bunch of .44 HP's (429244) In my new mould that buckshot HP'd for me. Beautiful boolits !! Kudo's to Buckshot for his flawless work. I also cast up a hand full of 360-180 NOE HP's for the wife's contender. Now I'm making up a new batch of lube for all the new cast boolits I made today.

HI,
IT SNOWED FRIDAY, YEAH.
SO I CAST 20 LBS. OF 38'S, AND SAT. 20 LBS. OF 7MM'S.
starting off slow, 300 or so 9mm bullets, first time casting bullets really
16 pounds of 356-125-2R with a 2 cavity mold. With the use the 9mm gets, I'm buying a 6 cavity mold.
200 rounds worth of Lee .430 200g RF from 50/50 water dropped. Just starting a supply for the year. Have .358 158g RF and .401 175 TC's to do yet.

Beat profusely with hammer until functional.
Well my session turned into a hodgepodge.
I set out to smelt some wheelweights, then took a few moulds over, then a few more moulds, then a few more moulds...
No rhyme or reason beyond some 9mm and .44 bullets I use regularly. I just cast what looked interesting. By the time I was done, I had used about a dozen moulds and doubt I cast 300 bullets. I made:
Lyman 429303, 311466
Lee 432-265 RD, 429-113WC, 429-208WC, and some soupcans
Saeco 301, 315, 383, and 115
H&G 50
RCBS 30-165SIL
The Ranch Dogs and the Saeco 315 and 383s are bullets I use often, but the rest...I don't know...they just looked like they needed made I guess.
Nothing cast. I have cast all through the winter (heated garage) and I have over 300 lbs of cast .357 boolits cast with four different styles of molds. That is more than I will shoot in a couple of years so I have to stop so I can cast a bunch more next winter.
ARMY Viet-Nam 70-71
230 gr .45's tonight. Tried a mystery lead (pretty soft) 50/50 with WW's and a few ounces of pewter. Made some pretty boolits...
