I need to replace the "O" rings in my Lube-a-matic, so my question:
Are the 1", 3/16" O rings that you get at Auto Zone adequate for Lube-a-matic use, or does it require something exotic?
Enquiring minds and all that.

I get mine in the plumbing department at Menards. Not sure if you have those in TX, they are like a Home Depot or Lowes. 1-1/16x13/16x1/8 #16 O-ring Stock # 35733B
Call RCBS and they will probably send you some for free.Robert
Yes, RCBS is good that way, like Leupold on scopes!
Have had RCBS and Lyman sizer lubers for years, but the RCBS kind of seemed to "eat" O-rings.
One day I decided to contact them about the problem, after which they had me return the luber and shortly here came a return box with a NEW tool.
Not sure the new one is any better then the old, but haven't gone through any O-rings so far.
However, still think it is good idea to have some extras on hand!
Keep em coming!

I just purchased some today from ACE. I can't remember which one exactly I picked out of their assorted o-ring box, but it had a diameter of 1 1/16". I just took the one I had in and eyeballed them side by side and called it good.
I was in the middle of lubing the other day and ran out of lube. Pulled out the screw and noticed the 1 inch "O" ring was shot. I did not want to have to run out and buy one since I was in the middle. I looked at my garden hose and pulled out the washer in the female end and it works great. I am planning on picking up some real ones though next time I am at the hardware store but this worked in a pinch.
You'll shoot your eye out kid !
I bought two today as I would prefer an extra for exactly the scenario BSkerj brought up.
RCBS is sending me new "O" rings.
Class act.
I destroyed several in my lubrisizer. They generally send me three as a matter of course...several times now.

Did I ever mention that I hate to trim brass?
Lowe's has 10 packs of the right size, cheap.

If it was easy, anybody could do it.
There's also an inquiry over on Casting and Reloading Hand Tools about this. I checked mine that came from RCBS and believe the 1/8" x 13/16" x 1-1/16" is the size RCBS sent me as part No. 80051
Actually I'm wrong it was in Reloading Equipment.

I bought the same size as was recommended in another thread a while ago...1/8x13/16x1-1/16. Bought from my local Ace hardware as a #16 o-ring.
I just contact RCBS and they send me up several for free. They are great that way. And I live in northern Ontario Canada. Just call them up.
HF has assorted kits for less than $ 10 .

I feel so stupid tonight. Are we talking about the o-rings on the H&I style sizing dies or does the LAM II use O-rings somewhere within its structure?
Thanks,
Mark the dense.
The RCBS sizer/luber has an "O" ring on the lube pressure plunger.
CDOC
The washer on top is a fiber type flat washer. It acts as a "thrust" washer.
Awhile back, I had that washer go bad, and had had some of the "O" rings go bad over time.
So, I sent a listed number of parts, including the "O" ring and the flat washer (several each) and a complete pressure stem unit (although mine was still workable) and ask RCBS to let me know what the cost would be so I could send funds and receive the parts for use over the next who knows how many years, (I'm 71) figuring that I want to keep the luber/sizer operating as long as I did.
Well, that didn't work!
Then sent me everything requested, NO CHARGE!
By the way, I have coated the top, "thrust" washer with heavy grease figuring it will last MUCH longer in that condition!!!!!!!
