I think glass beads will have to have summtin like soapy water to be an effective media .

No personal experience to share, just a "repeater". Had somebody tell me the glass beads do work, but eventually break down to a useless powder. Don't know, wasn't there, didn't see it.

Yeah I tried that once in my thumblers tumbler and my vibratory one as well. Had some pretty gnarly looking range brass at one time. I had better results with my sand blasting cabinet it was really awful using glass bead. Never used it again except in the cabinet and I still had to use the media tumbler to polish it anyway.

I don't have any time using glass beads but it seems that the life of the media would be short. I have been using ceramic media for a couple of years now. It will out last me and all you do is use some Dawn or other cleaner with Oxy and both the inside and outside will be as clean as the day they were purchased. Cost in the $50 range

Went to Pet Smart yesterday and purchase bag of crushed walnit and added some to my corn cob media. It should do a great job leaving brass clean and shiny.

    How dirty is your brass?

For medium to large bore case's ( above 25 cal) I've had great success with rice and a vibriting tumbler with a little Comet or Ajax added in.

    Use this dry of course!

Then go to corn cob and the case's will be beautiful.
