Lord, make me fast and accurate. Let my aim be true and my hand faster than those who would seek to destroy me. Grant me victory over my foes and those that wish to harm to me and mine. Let not my last thought be “If only I had my gun”; and Lord if today is truly the day that You call me home, let me die in a pile of brass.

I am out of town, enjoy your holidays.

    Blammer, a couple questions:

    What does "RG" mean?

    Who is making this mold?

    thanks,

Swede Nelson (NOE) will be making it. RG is his version of a hollow point mold with hollow point pins that stay in the mold - e.g. a Cramer style but different design.

Yep NOE will be making them.

Yep, RG's are the multiple HP moulds NOE makes.

This mould is not offered in RG.

    Blammer, would the 85 gr work in a 99 250/3000 with a 1 in 14 twist ? I know the 100 & maybe 120 will work in my 257 Bob ( 1 in 10 ) TIA mike

The 85 should work, the 100 might, the 120 probably won't. It's length, not weight, that makes the difference. And that is the bearing length, I believe.

Thanks Wayne, I wasn't sure after I read the opening bit about the long nose / short body thing. I figured the 100 gr might be ok as the other 99 I had shot 100 gr j loads fine & it had the same twist.

Years ago (29, to be exact) I had a Remington in 25-06 with I believe a 1-12? or 1-14? (whatever was standard for the 700ADL) twist. I could shoot up to 100gr Sierria's all day, the 117gr was questionable, and the 120 didn't stabilize.
