    Audis 'Sweetum' Murphy

I received a message this evening that my Great Uncle has passed from this life.

Audis 'Sweetum' Murphy was a resident of Denison, Texas. While he resided for many years there, his heart was always back home in the S.E. hills of Oklahoma where he grew up.

Sweetum (as we liked to call him), was a true outdoor's man. But mainly, he loved to hunt whitetails. Time and age have taken their toll on him. Tomorrow morning is opening day of deer season here in Oklahoma.

Sweetum passed away at deer camp a little after lunch today. All who knew him will tell you, if he could have picked a time and place...he was where he would have most wanted to be when he left this world. With family and friends in his beloved mountain's.

    May he rest in peace.
If I should depart this life while defending those who cannot defend themselves, then I have died the most honorable of deaths. Marc R. Murphy '2006'.

Same here. Glad he got to go doing something he loved.

Thoughts and prayers for you and your family Marc. Your Uncle sounded like one heck of a guy, the world is a lesser place without him. Rest in Peace Sweetum.
