    jawjaboy has passed

Word is on Glocktalk and Glockpost forums, Joe Livingston aka jawjaboy has died from cancer.

I think he was a member here, but I know some familiar usernames from those forums that are here.

Our country is at a loss not having a fine gentleman like Mr Livingston with us.

Mr Livingston helped me in ways no one else would. For that, I have tears as I type this.

Mr Livingston served his country proudly during the Vietnam War.

I was good friends with Jawja, even though we never met. He chose the old cartoon character Pogo the Possum for his avatar and that was perfect. Jawja was, like Pogo, a 'swamp character', full of southern kindness and wisdom, a simple person with a good heart. He was a mod on the GlockPost forum. Here is a link to his son's annoucement:

The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Joe Livingston was a very fine man, taken from us far too soon. I learned of this yesterday, and was saddened by the news. Prayers and comfort to his loved ones--from our house to theirs.
I don't paint bullets. I like Black Rifle Coffee. Sacred cows are always fair game. California is to the United States what Syria is to Russia and North Korea is to China/South Korea/Japan--a Hermit Kingdom detached from the real world and led by delusional maniacs, an economic and social basket case sustained by "foreign" aid so as to not lose military bases.

RIP and I really did like seeing Pogo in his avatar, a simple touch of old school class!
