    Best price on Dillon 550B

Anyone know of a bargain seller of Dillon presses? Do Dillon sell direct like Lee? (must do business outside the US - Midway USA don't)

It seems everybody with one regardless of model, loves 'em

I might be in the market for a progressive press if the exchange rate between Australia and the US stays as it is for the next few weeks.

Most people buy direct from Dillon. You can also get them from the Brian Enos forum and a lot are sold at fleabay but I've heard of some horror stories from people doing that and only getting the press frame and not all of the parts.

Dillon makes a great product and stands behind their warranty so I buy direct from them to show my support.

    Good luck.

+1 on buying direct from Dillon, a good company, good people, great product! I don't know of anyone selling Dillon at a discount, Supporting a company like Dillon directily will keep them around to service us thru their fantastic warrany if we should ever need it in the future.

Most places carry the Dillons for all about the same price. Grafs has them for a bit cheaper than retail if you have a business account with them.
Even though I can shop around and save a few bucks, when I do need parts or accessories for the Dillon I usually order directly from Dillon as a "thanks" because I enjoy receiving their catalogs.

No bargains on Dillons exist except used. Even used is typically not much of a bargain
since they are rebuilt for free.

Dillon gave up on dealers back in the 80s when he couldn't get them to make much of
an effort marketing his machines. He went direct to the customer and has been that
way for ever. A few folks are "Dillon dealers" but he must only give them about 5%
discount or something, they can't/don't sell any cheaper that I have ever seen.

Just pick up the phone and order unless you want to wait for a meteor to hit your car,
about as often as getting a Dillon for real cheap. It could happen, and has, but don't
    hold your breath.

Graf and Sons sells Dillon equipment. I think they are about the same price, unless you have an ffl and can get dealer pricing from Graf. Then you save a bit of money.

You have to keep looking! There was a fellow that bought the inventory from a dealer whom went under and he sold all the 550's for $300.00 with a conversion kit! I also found one a couple of weeks ago for $150.00 barely used and had a conversion kit, powder measure with both bars and all the priming parts as well as spare parts! I use a load master and pro 1000 so i passed up those deals. I do wish i would have bought the one for $150 and tripled the money though.

Hey Head 0001, I would like to live long enough to see you buy that Dillon on sale. WV will have a better chance of Summersville becoming flat land and selling for $5 a acre. Sorry that the Blue and Gold lost to our Purple and Gold on Saturday night also. I thought that with your # 7 we would lose for sure. Later David PS I have kin in Huntington area off 64

I got mine from Brian Enos. They have free shipping. Saving on shipping is something. Price is pretty fixed.

Is is possible to order "Naked" 550b. They have them on eBay. There is no caliber specific anything on it. Saves a few bucks if you already have one and are using this as a second press.

No problem shipping Dillon equipment to Australia. You can order online, over the phone or via fax. Online, you fill in the items you want and your shipping address. We figure the shipping, send you an e-mail. Then you send a credit card and we ship. The only merchandise we cannot ship overseas are reloading components, firearm magazines and revolver speedloaders, and major firearm parts, such as barrels.

    I bought a 450 Dillon recently for $50, with the 38/357 conversion.

    Something no one has mentioned, or I missed it regarding Dillon's warranty;
it's only to the original owner. Subsequent owners have to buy all those parts.
Please someone, correct me if I'm wrong! That's the story Dillon always gives me, and I
own , or have 4 of their press systems. (two belong to a buddy)

    Dillonhelp,

Nice to see someone from Dillon (an assumption) on this forum. There are a lot of Dillon users here. If you're actually from Dillon I wonder if D would offer the old 3 payments option for us on this forum for buying their machines. It's a program you used to offer although I haven't seen it advertised in a while. You could break the price of a machine up into three payments and D would simply charge your credit card a third for three months. Made buying large machines easier for us that count the pennies. Might help hiding a new machine from a wife somewhere too, although mine hangs out in my reloading room so that won't work for me.

If D offered that I would probably order a new 900 right away. Seems like I'm always saving money for a 900 and never quite get there. Has a lot to do with Mp molds I keep ordering...

If I'm not mistaken Dillon warranties their non commercial machines for the life of the machine, not the individual that buys it. The commercial products like the 1050 get a year of warranty seems like. I know that Dillon warranties their machines even sometimes when they shouldn't have to. It's one of the main reasons I buy my reloading machines from them. They actually care about their customers and it's appreciated.
