Richard Doughty ( WWW.DoughtyEnt.com ) made me 2 moulds for PP use. The first is the .416 I have already wrote about. The other is a .338 that casts at .332" dia and throws a 245 gr. 50/50 alloy boolet. YES, the mailman god named Alvin does like me!!!Robert

Richard can provide better details and final drawings of this creation. He told me he likes it to the extent he is making himself a similar mold for use in his .33 Krag. I am a computer idiot that simply can`t perform those functions like pictures being sent.Robert

303 Guy, The rifle is a Eddystone M 1917 Enfield that a "Bubba" tried to sporterise. I re-barreled it to .338/06, now my favorite go to rifle/cartridge, and put a decent piece of walnut on it. I had to go with a side mount scope as Bubba had messed up trying to drill for a top mount scope. It shoots the LEE cast very nicely and am getting samples of other weights of cast from good people on this site to try. I started talking with Mr. Doughty about a year past. We collaberated on a design that featured 3 shallow band cuts on the bullet body that are 1/8 " wide and perhaps 1/64" deep and are 1/8" apart. These are designed to hold onto the patch, yet release it upon exiting the muzzle. I am just in the testing stage now, after having to re-learn to patch, so there is no ready results to brag about yet. The finished bullets are coming in at 242 gr. using copier paper from my computer. It`ll probably be Spring now before more testing is done as cold and snow don`t go well with my arthritis.
