    What a score!

Right place, right time, it's the only reasoning I can come up with for this one.
This is an unfired 1961 Marlin 39-A Golden! Bought it yesterday, 08-30-2010 for $377 out the door. Absolutely pristine condition, not even a rack rash. The bolt face doesn't have a mark on it.

This last one is a bit fuzzy, but you can see Golden stamped on it.

I have wanted a Marlin 39A forever it seems, and I never expected to ever find a Golden of this age, in this condition, for this price. Piedmont called me and asked me to go to Tidewater Military Traders with him to look at milsurps, while he was looking at revolvers, I was buying this rifle! I may be going back 09-11-2010 for their auction, they have a Peter the Great Finn Mosin I wouldn't mind having.

Dang man! Don;t bother going to Vegas or playing the Lotto for the rest of your life. You just used up all your luck. Good on you!

So, is it still unfired, or what?

Next time you feel that lucky, send some of it my way.

Haven't shot it yet. I may be out of luck for a while. I think I spent it all on this Marlin.
