Got mine yesterday as well. I would honestly say of the 3 Miha molds i have this one is the best. The boolits are just gorgeous and drop out of the mold like they are greased with bacon fat. I love the square lube groove and mine drop right at .360 with WW and a touch of tin. Also they weight 126.5-127 with the round HP pin. I will post some pics tonight. They also look beautiful with the C-Red lube..

Just checked the mail box and the mold was there.

I do have a question though. How tight is the pin to mold fit supposed to be? With 3 of the 4 pins, I can see daylight around them when they're seated in the mold by hand (I think they may be too fat). One of those 3 is really difficult to get all the way down like the pin spacing is different than the mold spacing.

    Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.

    buyobuyo,

Don't sweat the fit too much until you've heated the mold up and run it a bit. They break in and dimensions change as the molds heat. Try it out and see if you have a problem. I'm betting it will be just fine.

    Cheers,

You'll like it. Miha does a great job with his molds.

You will not just like it, you will love it. The support pins for the hollow point pins can be squeezed slightly together or spread slightly apart and that will produce a pin set that will slide back and forth in the mold under its own weight.

I pulled mine right out of the box from Miha, installed the round HP pins and then mounted the mold on a set of Lee 6 cavity handles.

Then I took a quart size pot and filled it 3/4 of the way with water and put about 4-5 drops of dawn detergent in it and set the pot with the mold in it on the stove on high. Came back about 5min later and made sure my suds were not bubbling over onto the stove (mama gets upset with me when they do that) once the pot was to the point of boiling hot I turned the heat off and pulled the mold out and scrubbed it with an old teethbrush and then took and poured the boiling hot water over the mold until the pot was emtpy.

Finally, I put the mold on my single burner next to my Lee pot and let it sit for about 10min just above medium heat.

Started pouring boolits and they were keepers from the very first pour, until I just got tired of making pretty boolits.

Thanks for the mold prep suggestions Doby. I'll have to see if I can scrounge up a pot at one of the thrift stores in town. All the pans I use for cooking are non-stick, and I would hate to scratch them.

Also check the MP Mold web site for the proper sequence for the best casting.

I jusat tripped over this post after doing seeing Sir Moulting Black say he had a MP Mould from Saraveo. I was curious and 'Googled it' as they say and I arrived her by a circitorous route. These are one quality looking mould. I have been in on several 9mm Group buys, but if I had of noticed this one, I would have weakened I'm sure. Good luck with your moulds, looking at the finish, I'm sure they will work mighty fineeeee!
