    311407 gc in 03 a3

took my recrowned 03a3 to the range with 311407 gc ww h2o dropped.

31 gr of varget worked well so moved out to 200 yds

std mil slow 200 target, one 10, two 9's.....

    good enough for me.

the 9s were low...my ability or inability to hold the post on the bottom of the bull...six oclock hold....
ohhh the sight was set at 750 yds for the 200 hits,,,

this was prone with a sling...for an up comming match.

i dont shoot prone much any more....point of impact moved better than 12 inches from unslung on the bench to slung prone,,,,

free float...we dont need no stikin free float...

ohhh no leading......left bore as is for the match
    only accurate rifles are interesting

    the match....

ok so i show up for the "match rifle" match and find all the benches with front and rear rest's ..no slings....aghhhhhhhhhh. at the last min they change the match format.....and no i did not record my 200yd bench zero.

when i get to the line , i crank the site and take a shot......cant see it and shoot another. its in the black. make a small adjust and just shoot an look till all 20 are down range...looks good no holes in the white........

ohhhhh did i mention they did not put the number boards up on the targets, and that i bumbed my spoting scope and have been watching my neighbors target the whole time !!!!!!!!!!

    ohhh well live and learn.......

actually i've been shooting high and manage a big 134 instead of the high 180/190 i had been expecting......the group was about the the size of the black just high.
    there is always next year......

Well Mike.. what can I say? If they don't number the targets, will they let you take a Marks-A-Lot and put some kind of do-dad in one of the corners to make certain your are spoting your target?

I will bet that was heart breaking.

I've done the old spotting scope trick too in a NMC HighPower match.
