    SBH barrel change

Hi guys ,I have question about a SBH that I have. It is a7 1/2 inch barrel that is ported and I would like to have a 5 1/2 barrel. Is it worth it .How much do the barrels cost. I live in NY so picking up another gun is always a pain with the paper to have it put on your permit. Thanks.

    I had a gunsmith shorten my 10 1/2" barrel to 6 1/2", I'm very pleased with it.

Shortening the barrel would be my choice. But if you want to retain the porting then a replacement barrel would be the way to go. You jut have to decide if the 2" is worth the cost, which will vary with who the gunsmith is. Most of them now have websites and you can ask.
