    tumble lube bullets--whitch lube?

    howdy folks,
i have been reading this forum for a while. this is my first post. great place to educate yourself. lotsa folks with lotsa knowledge.

today i cast some bullets that are from a lee mould and are the tumble lube design. i have some lla and rooster jacket. which one is the best for pistol bullets? are they both equal. 38 cal. under 900fps. rooster dries completely and the lla seems to remain tacky. what is your experience postive or negative.
    thanks,
    little doc

I'd tumble lube them, then set in the oven at about 150 degrees for a few hours, seems to harden them up

Little Doc, welcome to the forum. Nice to have you here. I use the liquid alox but I usually take a hair dryer to it to speed things up that way I can lube them and load within an hour or so after lubing them.

Rooster Jacket works great for moderate pistol loads. Save the LA for the hot loads.
