500 gr .458 bullets for my Sharps. I know Oregon Trail had them at one time Laser cast Bullets, but I've searched google and no luck any place.
Vendor here that may have something?

Something similar to a Saeco #022 Wanted a Laser cast so I can go apple for apples to duplicate a long range load.
Try bullshop. He's a vendor you can find at the bottom of the page and he can fix you up with about anything you need I hear.
Aim small, miss small!
Go to the stickie for mold makers, there are several that make large .458 boolit molds or you can design your own if you like.

MidwayUSA sells cast bullets from at least one or two different companies. I think 50 500gr. .458 bullets were about $30 last time I looked.
Thanks for the leads & the welcome aboard.
I also found a place locally that sells case bullets, called them and they are going to run a batch for me.
They do sell mail order http://redlineballistics.com/links.htm

Rick I'm in San Diego.
Those are great looking bullets are they pure lead or?? Reason I ask is I have a bunch of cast bullets laying around they are mainly wheel weight lead or linotype. Perhaps we could work a trade out of you need casting lead?
After a bunch of reading I loaded up 10 each to try out:
300 gr RCBS FP-GC Fed. 210 primer, 43.5 grs Varget Starline case.
405 gr Magma FP Fed 210 primer, 40.0 grs Varget Starline case.
I'll use these in my Pedersoli Sharps cup for each load is under 15,500 for both loads any thoughts

Rick459 - I intend to buy the Lee mold for the 500 gr spitzer but so far have not found either a nose punch or seating die stem to fit that big, pointy tip. Which nose punch and seating die are you using?
Thanks,

A couple of years ago my cousin was visiting while I was loading shotshells, and asked me for a tablespoon of shot, he has a buddy that drops one pellet in a spire point mould when he is casting them, 30 caliber I think he said, but he had no idea why he did it, I was thinking expansion in some way, anyone ever heard of this?.............steg
Sorry Guys I forgot where I was, didn't mean to jump on purpose, sorry.............steg
