    Reader;
    Welcome! You are #36. Glad to have you with us!

    Folks! Please send me your Email address if you have not already done so (I want to keep the list as up to date as possible, so we don't have last minute mistakes, etc).

    Those of you that are still on the fence, don't be shy - this is going to be a VERY useful bullet for the .45 Colt. What's not to like? .454" as cast diameter, 280-285 grs in solid point and proportionately some lighter with the hollow points. A nice wide meplat, good lube capacity, an excellent crimp groove and the right proportions for the .45 bore. Just jump right on board with the rest of us.

    Are the spuds on the HP assembly been flame hardened or how has that been handled?

    Can Additional spud diameters be ordered from the manufacture later?

    When will the pricing be available on mold and options.?

    Sorry for all the questions, but they are valid.

    NOTE: JUST IN! (2/16/2010) MiHec has sent me the price on the mould. It is $85.00 +$8.00 for extra pins (each set) and $15.00 shipping. Total cost with both pins (that's the only way this one will be sold except for those that ordered EXTRA pins) will be $108.00 delivered for the regular order (mould with two sets of pins). I think this is terrific the way MiHec is holding prices even tho' the dollar has dropped against the Euro.

    Changeling;
    The spuds are blued steel.

    It is OK as long as you don't sell the gun that you are buying the mould for

    Dale,

    That was sly to give me this link, to show those pins being "smoothed up" on the 44 HP molds that I just got . . . I don't even have a 44 yet, nor a 45, but . . . well I just gotta have one of these, just in case you know I should happen to pick up a 45LC . . .

    Go ahead and add me to the skyrocketing list!

    I really can't answer that. The H&G #503 has to be close (the H.P. had 86 alone plus the Solid point had another 62). I guess that it might not be fair to add them together, BUT together they made 148 and since they were the same basic design...

    the 45acp 200 gr cramer seems to be re-running every other month or so. It might hold the record of most re-runs!
