Which Keith tickles your fancy next?

The moulds I thought of in this "Series of Keiths" are the following.

    Thirty two, taken care of.

358429, fat of course and about 175 grains.

Forty one someone will have to clue me in on this one. Don't have one, never have and probably never will.

The .44! 429421 is the classic of course, 250 - 255 in weight.

In .45 I still want a Keith that Keith couldn't have; make the bands and crimping groove wide enough to meet his standards with a weight of say 275 - 280.

Also in .45 a big Keith at about 310 -320 or so.

Of course we can do other calibers, .40, .475, .50 and such like.

    Speak up!

I'd like to see the .44, .38, and .41 run in that order. Then followed up by the heavier .45's; but I'm happy to send in my checks as the Honcho or the group as a whole decides.

44 - at .433 to .434 would be real nice!

Catshooter, I confuse easily. Is this a separate thread from the Keith series group buy? Those molds (45 which just ended), 44, 38, 41 have already been designed?

    Make Mine Another .45!

Hate to be boring, but I really do prefer the .45 Colt! I would like to see the RCBS 45-270-SAA (the Dave Scovill design) in more than a two cavity mold and in a high quality mold. I also would like to see the old 310.451 NEI #320 design made like it used to be. Ditto for more than two cavities in a high quality mold.

However, because of custom gunsmithing (new cylinders and barrels) on my guns, I size to .452". I guess we could always do a run of molds for .454" sized diameters and then have the driving bands on the cherry kissed down to make some .452" molds.

If anyone is interested in drawing up these designs I can supply sample bullets.

    Best regards,

    Ray

My vote is for the .44 next, but I'll wait for however long you decide!

There are more .357 bullets loaded and fired than any other, I think every one needs at least one. If we could get 100 orders the price would drop significantly.

I'd be interested in the 357 Keith, followed later by some of the heavy 45's

    Red face

They all sound great Cat, but I don't think we've had a decent .357 GB in a while and so I vote for the 175 grn .358. That sounds like a great boolit. Follow that with a 220 grn or 250 grn, wide, sharp meplate .412. I know the .44 has to happen, and I will buy one, (even though I don't own a .44....don't ask me why I'll buy it...I can't explain, I just gotta). Also, Im really glad to hear you mention the 270-280 grn .45. I've been wanting to buy that 270 grn RCBS mould, but have been holding out hoping that you would include one in this list.

So anyways, that's my preference and vote for the order:
    175 grn .358; 220-250 grn .412, 270-280 .454, in that order.

    Thanks
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” – John 3:16

That still amazes me…I don’t care who you are or how much I care about you, I would never let you kill my son. I can’t even begin to understand how much He loves us.

If I was to pick it would be a .360 175 gr

But I will go with the flow

...This thread/group buy started as a request for a true Keith 358429. Therefore IMO, that should be next. That is what some of us were looking for.
...I've no problem with the heavy weights in .45, but am just not interested in them.
...If the 358429 is not chosen for next buy, then please make it a standard weight of mould. There are, and have been heavyweight buys.

Ok, to answer some of your Q's:

JudgeBAC, this I'd be a seperate and new buy. 45 2.1 and I took about nine months to get our **** together for this whole Keith series thing and now we do.

Well, actually it's 45 2.1 who has his **** together (as far as Keith designs) I'm just the lucky bonehead who signed on to honch.

    rkolling,

You'd better sit down. If you want the old NEI .451-310 design, you have come to the right place. It was me who had Walt cut the first cherry for that mould in the first place back in the early '80s, so all I have to do is send some samples to 45 2.1 to measure up and we're in bidness.

    fatnhappy,

I just knew somebody'd point out that I should make a poll. I tried. As per usual, I screwed it up. You're right it'd been easier to count!

Well group, so far the .357s are ahead. We'll see.

#358429, as someone above stated...the one that started this in the first place. *SMILE*.

Followed by the .44 of course.

    Thanks,
