Another vote for "other". The .32 Magnum has a small appetite for powder and lead.

Another vote for the 45 Colt (in a single action of course- Ruger Blackhawk preferably)!
45 ACP would be 2nd, followed by 38 Spl (both in revolvers).
38 S&W is equal to 38 Spl in quantities fired.
Never show up to a fight with anything less than a 45 if at all possible, and make every shot count once the fight has begun.

Here is another vote for other. I am seriously enamored with the .41 magnum, either from a Marlin 1894 or a Ruger Blackhawk.

Tough call between .38 from one of my .357s and .45acp.
I love em all but I guess the .38 is sent downrange the most.
Not so hard on the lead stockpile either.

I had my tongue planted in my cheek when I posted this.
Yes, it's not unusual for me to fire 200 rounds per trip. I've probably gone through a ton of lead over the years just through my .454's, and I own 4 of them.
I will admit that I don't personally know anyone else in my area that shoots one, and many times I get an audience while shooting them at the range I belong to.

I've got an old model 19 smith 6 inch that shoots 38s with just about any boolit sized .359 over a healthy dose of unique. Its just about always in my range bag. I have made some stupid accurate shots with it. All were accidents though. Jim
Right now nine gets shot the most. 124 gr pb and 3.5 gr powder. The hole in the target is the same size as a 357.

I voted for the 45 Colt, but almost pulled the trigger on the 45 acp. I shoot 5 of the 9 listed plus a couple more. They're all good. Wouldn't want to be without any of them.
Really have come to like the 41 magnum of late, especially in a Smith.
I cast and shoot everything on the list, with the exception of 45 Colt.
I always come back to the 45ACP for some reason.
45 Colt
I have a Ruger convertible, so I shoot some ACPs, but shoot the Colts more.
.41 AE, in my opinion a brilliant development, but alas, dead as a doornail, which leaves me with .357 mag, for it's versatility.

This would have been post #22 to this thread if I hadn't gotten interrupted last evening.
I also take a .22 Smith revolver with me to the range. I use it as a warmup to re-train my trigger finger to remember whatever it forgot since the last session. But since you said "centerfire"...
I like the .32 H&R Magnum in my Smiths, and I usually take 586 Smith in .357, almost always with .38 Special-level loads in .357 brass. I like the .44 Magnum and find the .44 Special more "average" than "Special" (I know, sacrilege), but my "go-to" revolver is the .41 Magnum with a Keith boolit at 900 fps. Lots o' penetration and certainly enough diameter to do the job.
I'm not a fan of auto-pistols because I hate chasing brass.

.45 ACP and .38 Special, .22LR One or more of these goes with me EVERYTIME I go to the range. I love 'em but the poll only allows one pick.

Me too about the .45 acp. Got 4 different guns in this cal. Also have a stainless .22 Ruger slab side, with a red dot scope. It's a fun piece to shoot. Probably need to add .22 to the list. I voted .45 ACP. Bob
10mm!!! most definitly.
Great loads in my 610 revolver and lots of firepower in my Glock 20's.
I cast my own LBT 200 gr WFN's with GC's and those doing 1,200 fps out of a Glock 20 with 19 more behind it is a lot of firepower.

I send mostly 38 Spl down the barrel, but some are loaded in 357 mag cases . . . thinking of getting a 44 mag Alaskan to cc! Also shoot a fair amount of 22 lr . . .
