Wow that's pretty brutal.
The most i've paid for primers thus far is around $.03 each, including Hazmat. You have to buy alot in the mail though. (fail to see a problem )
Ouch!!! That brings tears to my eves!

Thats been the going rate buying local (W V) for a few months now.

I just paid $45 for a brick.
Aim small, miss small!
i think i have a brick i will look later . if i have them we will see if we can work something out Clint
They are $29.95 in Great Falls Montana.
I just bought some Wolf from Widener's reloading. I think they still have them
in stock. They seem to ignite like the CCI primers I normally use.
I have CCI LR that I am selling in the store for $32 per 1000. I paid the normal
wholesale price when I got them, so I am selling them for my normal price.
I sold 2k of the wolf for $32 per k, to two different customers. They are good
customers, but if I planned to sell the rest, that would be my price. I am
keeping these to use in reloading ammo for sale. I am just waiting for my
class 6 license to be approved by ATF.
One of my local competitors is selling CCI for $45/k.
I spoke with my gun shop ( very big and most times OK ) about two weeks ago.
$45.00 a brick.
If he did what I said he should have the last primer stuck up his ars about---------------------------------NOW.
I guess I don't run with the flock--I just can't stand for people to get in my pocket like that.
I know--I know --what you going to do. -- You want them you pay.
Well for an old retired grump like me it's even harder. $1,100 a month and some food stamps just don't allow for 45$ primers. Fact is it don't allow for much of anything.
Sometimes I find myself trying to make a deal every place I go. Am I the only one??
Wife and I were happy to hang a Doe this year. Last year it was road kill (who cares we et.)
Don't get me wrong men I don't go round complaining bout everything, but I got my principles and some things don't sit right.

Price gouging? I wonder what wholesale is on primers these days......maybe the local guys aren't the source of the increase, just the most visible.
I have been replacing primers as I use them. $4-$4.50 per hundred. No break on bricks.

$1100 a month is $1100 more than I get.
Last week at a local gunshow I bought 3 bricks for $ 40.00 per brick. They had been selling between 45-50 bucks per brick until recently. That is if you could find them!!! The seller had them priced at 45 bucks, but knocked 5 bucks off per brick since I asked for 3 thousand. They were Winchester LP primers. Another table had CCI large pistol for 45 bucks per thousand.
Gun show yesterday in St. Paul- Bought 3 bricks of primers for $105.00 (and they're not even supposed to be selling primers at that show).
Gander Mountain here in MN is trying to get $50.00/1,000 too, while you can find them for $34.00/1000 at a mom and pop gun store a few miles from the Gander "big box". Somehow, I don't think Gander is paying more for their stock than the little guy down the street.

I've yet to pay over $30.00 +tax here in Nebraska but I buy from small shops.

Couple a weeks ago I paid 35.00 for a brick,, but the gunstore gives a 10% disc for NRA & local gun club members, so actually it cost me about 30 bux. I has happy. Mike
Still 45-50 dollars here, even the mom and pop store in the area that was reasonable went to 45 last month.
I just paid $ 34.00 for a box of CCI 350's at Cabela's in Omaha, NE. I was glad to get them as I had been looking for some for a while. On a trip to Kansas City the only large magnum pistol primers I could find were $ 50.00. I am thankful.

I posted a while back about Gander Mountain charging me $5.00 per hundred for LR primers. The only primers available locally. I will remember this price for a long time to come. If primers get to where they are easily obtained, GM can do without my business. If not, and GM has them, I will continue to buy from them. Simple as that!
But, Lloyd, I can feel your pain.

Just picked up some CCI small rifle and large rifle at a gunshow in Washington , PA for $29.99 a 1000 .
