WW Kathie Here (not Wheel Weight) but Whirl Wind....

.... Whirl Wind, in remembrance of the tornado that touched down across the street. Too close for comfort! Main thing, thankfully no one got seriously injured. A miracle of miracles, for sure. I hope never to experience something like this again. My damage is relatively very minor in the scheme of things.

Things are getting slowly back to normal. The estimator was here today, and once approved, work will begin to repair my house (inside and out).

I have attached some pictures for viewing.

And I hope to start contacting those on my list, a couple people at a time, to see if there is still an interest in my WH-WT ingots!

    With kind regards to all,

    WW Kathie out!

    Kathie,
I hope all is going well on the repairs to your home. I have been in the claims business for 18 years and have been on far to many Catastrophe sites. Tornados are the worst as they do not allow any time to prep or run. I am glad you were OK. Homes can be repaired much easier than a visit to the hospital for us.

I would like to get added to the WW list. I would like 2 lots if possible. No rush. Take care of the home and yourself.

    Hi Ken,

Thanks for your comments in your post. They are truly appreciated. I have added you to my list and PM sent to you.

I will soon start contacting people on the waiting list to see if they still want WH-WT lead. Also, I have 300 more pounds to sort through which I obtained yesterday. My lead operations are starting up again! And my community is getting back to normal. The Town of Stratford did a marvelous job of cleanup and from all accounts that I heard, everyone in my community banded together except for probably the one old biddy who seized the moment in an attempt to exact her ill-will. I feel sorry for people like her who must be truly miserable inside. Thankfully she was outshowered by very kind and caring people, and very professional Town and Non-Town personnel doing the cleanup.

The estimator came to my house on Thursday. I will need a whole new roof on the side of the house where the tree fell on. New skylight obviously! And repair to siding and new RainHandlers (I use RainHandlers instead of gutters). Insurance will pay for the repair of my ham antenna (if my antenna guy can get the replacement parts, otherwise, a new antenna); some ceiling tiles will be replaced in the kitchen and then ceiling will be painted so that all matches. The flashing of the kitchen skylight will be repaired, etc. etc. I will be getting a new outside TV aerial and rotor since that got clobbered by flying tree limbs.

All in all, my damage is minimal compared to others - and thankfully no one was seriously injured in Stratford and Bridgeport. Bridgeport took the worse hit, with millions of dollars of damage and people displaced from their homes. One lady was sitting on her bed and on the other end of the bed, the tornado swept up her dog and cat. Very sad; but God was watching out for her since she was within feet of being swept up. I count my blessings when I hear about other peoples' situation.

For those on my list, I plan to start contacting a couple of people at a time to see if there is still an interest in the lead WH-WT ingots that I have in stock.

    With kind regards to all,

    ~ Kathie

Off Topic... but my turn to be catty >(^!^)< (Purrr Purrr)

What I love about this forum is that I feel very comfortable to talk about different things and to vent.

Well, I am Purrrrring now. Today (and yesterday) and a few days after the tornado struck, we have had quite some downpours of rain.... notably yesterday.
Today, we had some showers too, but prior to the showers I saw a pickup truck with long extension ladders sitting in the biddy's driveway (I was on my way to the P.O. to drop off 3 boxes of lead). Upon my return, I see most of the front roof covered with a blue tarp. I suspect that this roof is at least 20 years old, if not more, and it looks it.

Let it rain! Let the mold silently grow. What goes arounds, comes around.

    Purrrr Purrrrr.

    Catty Kathie, out.

    Kathie,
Let's hope the neighbor's Blue Tarp does not get to age as well as her shingles....

I saw some in Florida that looked to be well over a year old.

I hope all is coming together on your home. I know how backed up the contractors can get in a Catastrophe. One hint I'm sure you are aware of, do business only with the locals as they will be there after the dust settles to do an warranty work that may come up. The Storm chasers are here today and GONE tomorrow.

I was in East Arkansas yesterday in an area that got 7" of rain in two days.
The rice fields of the Mississippi Delta were not all that was flooded this week.

I received my 50 pounds of Wheel weights today. The Captain does a great job of packaging and the shipping was very fast...

If we had a feed back area I'd give a 10 on service, value and shipping.

I'm sure a few postal workers took a few days off after picking up this 50 pound box!
It was labeled as heavy so they had ample warning...

This is some great looking alloy.
I can"t wait to fire up the Lee 4-20 and see some of my new Ranch Dog molds broken in.

    I'll be back for more.

    Thanks

The house on the other side of me was without shingles for 5 years (Tyvek - which was in tatters), and finally sided last year.

    Some pictures....

I have attached some pictures of lead ingots in this post because the computer that had my website software got clobbered by the tornado. Until I get that computer replaced, I can not update my website at this time (unless I load the software onto the computer I am using now - and the spirit doesn't move me to do so, at the moment!).

I am showing some pictures of various ingots derived from STICKON Wheel Weights. Average weight of ingots are around 1 to 2 pounds, give or take.

I am using Ray's mold for ingots derived from CLIPON's. Average weight is around 4.5 pounds, give or take. I am not including pictures of these clipon ingots since they are already pictured previously in this thread.

And, thanks 45nut for your post in regard to my house. I truly appreciate your thinking of me.

    With kind regards to all,

    ~ Kathie
