    Oops.......Did I Just Mess Up?

I've made a mistake loading a few 12ga rounds where the receipe called for a CCI 209 primer & I used 209Ms by mistake. The load is 1.25oz of shot loaded into a Fiocchi hull & a WA12F114 wad with 27.0grs of Unique. I only loaded a few test rounds (5) so tearing them down is no big deal if that's what I need to do. I'm sorta new to shotshell loading so be easy on me guys

I remember reading on the Shotgun World forums that CCI 209M's can cause unexpected pressure spikes in loads that do not list them.
They are pretty hot primers, right up there with Fed 209A's.
Seeing as the load you were using is pretty hot anyways (1300 fps and 10,000 psi on a 1.25 oz. load) I would lean towards breaking them down.
You may want to post out on Shotgun World and get their feedback though.

With regards to gun control in this country, everyone should be asking themselves one question:
What is it that this government feels they need to do, but can't do, unless the citizens of this nation are first disarmed?
(I seriously doubt you can come up with any plausible answers that you will like...)

Well I hate to have to tear them down, but it's only a few so I guess I'll just go ahead & do it. Better safe than sorry, I'm just glad I noticed what I had done before firing them.

    27G unique?

    Damn.

    I use 24G for my 1Oz buckshot and it's giving me 1000FPS.

Straight off of Alliant's website. I sorta though that myself as I use 23.5grs with another 1.25oz load in a WAA hull. I haven't shot any yet & may not if ya'll think that's too hot. FWIW, the gun is a Mossberg M535 with a 3.5" chamber & 22" barrel using a modified choke tube. This is a 2.75" hull I'm using.

Not too hot for that gun, but man. I use Fiocchi hulls and the pink Claybuster straight wad and with shot it kicks like a mule behind 24G. Buck seems to be lighter(not as much bore friction?).

I don;t load for heavy field loads...that's what Walmart is for LOL
