    hollow pointing a plain mould

I am bidding on a hollow point mould w/o the pin and I have another mould I would like to convert to HP. I had an NEI mould done several years ago but can't find my records, nor can I remember who did it for me. Help!! Alan Waples

I would check out "Buchshot's" Service:

Buckshot does a great affordable job. Lyman will replace the pin in one of their moulds for $15.00, as of 2 summers ago. Gianni.

    Try 'em first...

I use a Forster 1/8" hollowpointer tool in my case trimmer to test effectiveness of non-hollowpoint bullets. Some boolits are helped, some are a disaster accuracy wise....

    FWIW,

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked out the reference and it sure looks like Buckshot knows what he is doing. However, I don't. I would need him or someone else to do the work. Anyone know what the cost is and contact info other than the list. Being new to the list I hesitate to be too forward in asking someone to do something they may not have the time or interest in becoming involved in. Thanks again! Alan Waples

    Alan,
Buckshot doesn't work for free...but he also doesn't charge an arm and a leg.

I can see why you would hesitate to 'ask for a favor from a stranger' (hoping for a free job), but if you want to hire him to do some work just send him a PM.

He does that sort of thing...and recently did a small job for me that turned out quite well.

    Alan:

Buckshot has converted serveral moulds for me and does excellent work !

I really like his design ! The pin can be moved in/out or replaced !

Here are a couple of photos (posted from earlier threads).

    Pretty mould/bullet. What caliber?

Anybody know where I can get the 158gr LSWCHP/mould that works so well in the .38 Lawman +P loads?

Selpaw, get your check book out because I'm also going to try and get that ebay mold for one of my projects and will pay a pretty high amount. But in all honesty I will not need it for long and will resale if I manage to win.
