    5744 powder

LAH: The Accurate 2004 reloaders guide list that powder and the 30-30 with the 173gr. cast at 19.8 gr. start and 22 at max.I dont see why not the start load wouldn't work with your boolit. I own a mold for that boolit and shoots great out of my canadian centennial with 28gr. 3031 with bhn of 13.That straight birdshot.Weighs 199gr. with gc.and lube.Sorry for stealing your post. You might want to cut that charge of 5744 by 1 gr. to start. Sincerely, BRUCE IN N.Y.

    LAH,
I am shooting 23.5 grains of it with the Lyman 311041 (170+ grains) in a couple of Model 94's. Velocity is average 1801 fps and accuracy is just so-so with the 'scoped Model 94. Good-luck...BCB
