CB loads for 30-30 150gr FN

    Hi Folks,

I have a Lee double cavity mould C-309-150-f (mould number 90366)

Im wondering if any of you have loaded this boolit with:

IMR 4895 or Ball-C Lot 2 the two main powders I work with.

Id like to find some start to mid range loads so I can have a point of reference.

Ill be cold quenching, and using GCs. Ill see how that goes. I may get a toaster oven and go into baking them, if I need more fps.

Id like to shoot for 1800-2000, but I think thats out of my range with WWs.

    Thanks for your time

Start with 27 grains, either powder. That is sufficiently low for about any gun. ... felix

Thanks, I was going to start a lot lower. Now I have a starting point.

You can use jacketed 170 gr. information with that boolit for guidelines too. Your best accuracy with cast boolits will come before the max loads for jacketed probably using WW. Never know though.

I load that boolit with good results over 28 grs of my "Euro 4895"( pulled 54R powder) similar to a fast lot of the IMR brand.
