Question What is a G/BP Sport wad...?

The Hodgdon we site lists a" G/PB Sport" as the wad for some loads. Please forgive my ignorance, but what the heck is that?

It is a wad sold by Balistic products

All Blaistic Product branded wads are nice
But they are real proud of them and I found I could save a fair amount of $$ using other wads

ballistic products is like the racing mag for shotguns.
they can and do make performance ammo/components for shotguns but they are pricey.

Hmmm.... I looked at the Ballistic Products page and darned if I can find a wad that it could be. Any hints? Could it be something that is out of production? Just curious, but wanted to check into it since it was a candidate for this season's rabbit loads. It's either that or the SP12. Looking right now like it's going to be the SP12.

BPI markets lots of wads for nearly every gauge. I never found them to be that much overpriced--particularly in 16 ga. I bought a bunch of those a few years ago and found them to be the best wad for that ga. I've never tried their 12's though--mostly I stick to Winchester wads for my shotshells. I haven't loaded shotshells though in a couple of years--since the cost of components got to be higher than a store-bought box of shells. Have things gotten cheaper?

Depends... For field type loads, you can come out ahead. Target loads are still iffy.
