Made a good deal on W-W today.

Stopped at the local tire store and asked the guy if he had any Wheel weights he wanted to get rid of, and ended up with 487 pounds for $50.00.
Not the best deal I ever made, but darn good for less than 10 cents a pound.

Um, that's more than 10 cent a pound.

But I would have been happy as a clam to pay it. Good score!

A lot of the shops around here will give it away (especially I'm there to buy a tire) so anytime I'm having a tire fixed on my truck or the wife's car, I ask for the WW's. Can usually get a 5 gal bucket that'll go 40-50 lbs. The rest of the shops will tell you it's haz-mat and that you can't touch it for any amount of money.

Sounds like you got a good deal. That much metal will make 13,636 250gr pills - more or less.

Just being able to get that amount of wheelweights now is a score, especially so cheap.
