if its a cramer style mold that has reversable pins and is a gas checked design id be in for one
I'd be in for the post #9, 2 cavity, Mihec HP , PB
Lloyd:
I also hope that the GC version will be available as an option on this buy. This would be a great HP bullet with GC for my single shot carbine !
I would take a 2-cavity brass Cramer HP in PB as well as a second 2-cavity HP mould in GC !

What is the length of the nose from the meplate to the crimp groove for the bullet in post # 9 please?
I would be interested in this as well if in the 0.453"- 0.454" area. Don't care for a GC but would go that way if that's what everyone wanted.

Just want to bump this back to the top.
I Really want one of these.
I would prefer a GC and a little heavier than the PB would be fine with me.

I would have to have one of these in a 2 cavity HP option.
Ok, I think it's time to try and get a list together with what everyone wants and see where we stand.
Everyone is pretty much in agreement that the design in post #9 is what we want.
MiHec cramer style mould, single lube groove, 2 cavity for Rugers.
Now the question becomes, can we get this done with the option of a gas check.
The GC design would be cut with the same cherry and therefore would be slightly longer and heavier than the PB design in post #9.
I went through this thread and have compiled a list of people who have expressed interest.
If I have missed you or misinterpreted your wishes, please post and let us know.
I really want to see this one get off the ground!

BoomerMikey, is the .456" meplat to crimp groove a show stopper for you? I know you wanted .453 to .454 and a PB boolit.
So it looks like we have 21 moulds between the GC and PB designs, perhaps more cause I'm sure I have probably missed a couple of folks.
I just wanted to try and get this a little more organized.

With regards to gun control in this country, everyone should be asking themselves one question:
What is it that this government feels they need to do, but can't do, unless the citizens of this nation are first disarmed?
(I seriously doubt you can come up with any plausible answers that you will like...)

It's not too much of a problem to make the GC version about the same weight as the PB version. A difference of 0.003" shouldn't cause concern in the meplat to crimp groove length as long as it is crimped well, but it could be shortened slightly also.
No two cavity molds for me, thanks. Or hps or gcs.
The slightly heavier/longer gas checked boolit would be applauded by me. Like the list says I want both. I'm ready. I'm assuming we are talking still about Mihec's fine cramer style brass?
Heavy lead:
I am also getting two moulds !
One in PB and a second in GC !
The latter should work well in my single shot carbine.

is there any idea how much the molds are going to cost . thanks
I would prefer a plain base but would take a GC base if that is what the majority want, especially if it is as 45 2.1 says that it need not be heavier than plain base.
