    Foster mod

Has anyone attempted to modify a foster type or even a new lee wad type slug mould by adding 3 full length drive bands to it. Seems like it would be shaped much like a button nose wadcutter and would hit like a ton of bricks, I'm primarily speaking of 12 gauge, but I suppose a 20 would work too.

I bought a Lyman 20 ga mold with the thought of doing this for my rifled Encore barrel, but the mold dropped at .615" and the bore diameter was .623" so the grooves wouldn't have amounted to much. I ended up reworking a paper patch mold into a 700 grain mold with .628" bands as cast.
