    Federal .22's at Wal Mart

I went down to the local WalMart tonight and there in sporting goods was 20 cases of .22 LR 36gr hp's. There is a sign saying that you can only buy 3 cartons of ammo per purchase. So I am going back tomorrow: 550 round value packs for $13.46 each.

I went to the WalMart in Pampa last night and the only 22 ammo they had was CCI Mini Mags. This has been the case for months, so I asked the clerk if they ever get 22 ammo anymore. She said they got some in last week, but it was sold before it came in. She also said WalMart was no longer special ordering guns, as of last week.

Sounds like there are some shooters working at Wally.

I called around at the walmarts in my area...all they have is the winchester 333 packs...I'm going to be traveling tonight so I've got some walmart stops planned on my way. I usually stop anyways cuz I get the muchies...

Maybe its a sign things are starting to ease up

Local store has been out of all .22s except WMR and Stingers for almost 2 weeks. Stopped in at lunch and bought 4 bulk Federals at $14.47 and two boxes of stingers for a co-worker. They're now limiting rifle/handgun ammo to 6 items per person per day.

No pistol ammo to speak of there except 32 auto and 357 Sig, which they've had for a long time.

Just adding info to the thread.....

A couple weeks ago I got two cartons of those same Federals (same price!) at our local WalMart. They were the last on the shelf and the guy behind the counter said he didn't have any more in stock. Guess, maybe, should go back and see if they've gotten any more in.

A local shop (Larry's in Huntsville, AL) has plenty of Federal Champion 40 grain .22 for $17/brick. I didn't ask if there was a limit but I walked out with a case.

Chinamarts in our area are pretty dry on ammo.

They have limit signs posted, but still no ammo.

They said only six boxes of 22s will arrive at one time, and the first person who sees it cleans it out.

It has been like this for months-since NOV, actually.

Although I haven't checked out Wally World, I've been seeing the rationing signs at other stores. I was in the Sportco in Tacoma today, and the sign limited purchasers to no more than two boxes of ammo per customer.
This will pass, looking forward to business as usual..

    Happy Shootin'! -Tom
