Tell me about Ben’s Red Boolit Lube!

Ben mentioned this in a thread about the liquid lube and I am interested in the formula.
    Anyone have the formula?
I checked the stickys and nothing there.

In your original post you mentioned “liquid lube”. Ben had a BLL and Ben’s Red. They are two different things. Ben’s Red is used to lube bullets as in your lubrisizer. Ben’s Liquid Lube is a coating that is used on the outside of bullets similar to Alox. Both are very good. I use both and am pleased with them.

Note… the active ingredient in BLL was Johnson’s liquid wax. It has been discontinued, but Lundmark Liquid Paste Wax is a good substitute.

You are welcome, we are here to help too. I found it easy because I had it in my subscribed thread list. I bought the Lucas lube and before I could make a batch my grandson put it in the grease gun because it was out. He the used it on his car ball joints. Oh well, someday I'll get a new tube.

In the meantime I found the BLL and 2 cans of Johnson liquid and made a batch if that. I has a bunch of commercial hard lube 357's I then top coated them with the BLL i now us it as an over ciat to keep all my soft lubes from being tacky.
