Was your membership banned in the past under a different user name?

Quite possible you were using a Public IP...and one user being Banned...All Users are Banned. Seen it on our Forum...when we had that!!
try turning off your VPN, if you use one

No, never. I've never been banned. I was living overseas and had my account since I was overseas or before I left the US - I moved to Missouri 2 years ago and have been only able to access via vpn since I came to the US.
I've done that before.
VPN is the 'only' way I can log in - my service provider IP is banned.
I'm just using the internet service that is provided by my local electric & internet cooperative. When I do an IP address search it doesn't show to my home but to the nearby town (pop ~ 3,000 & about 10 miles away). Is there a way I can DM or email with you rather than post my IP address on this public discussion? Thanks.
Anyone, I believe, can read your IP address by clicking on the appropriate icon. You have received an answer from the Forum's Owner, No_1, who is also the forum-related computer guru.
Since he says that your IP and VPN are not on the banned list, why can't you continue to post as you've been doing?

I think what No. 1 is asking is for the ip he is trying to get in with. And possibly his username and password. I have run into this as the owner of my forum and it is usually a blacklist thing with the server software where his ip is blacklisted for some reason. This is 99% of the time nothing that the person has done or would even know about. And most of the time I am not even sure there was a legitimate reason for the blacklist. Just one of those things you run into on the internet.
I think I accidentally sent him the VPN IP address, when I log in, from my home IP without the VPN I get this:
