Just wondering if anyone has made shot loads that work in a 9mm Luger? Maybe using 9mm magnum brass??

Yes. I use gelatin medicine capsules. Lots of info here:

9 mm mag brass has worked and functioned well 3 of my 9’s. I haven’t tried the capsule method referred to in a semi-auto.

I haven’t tried it but I’ve heard they won’t cycle.

The capsules are single shot only. They will bust open on the feed ramp

Did some 9mm luger shot loads three or four years ago, using .223 brass. Cut, neck down, just like the 45 acp brass using .308 brass. Shoot them in my charter arms 9mm revolver, never tried them in a auto loader.

It’s nice to have the round eject and chamber a fresh round be it another shot shell or normal projectile. Process to using 9 mm win Magpul brass is similar to using 308 223 etc for a base case. Neck 9 win brass down just enough to still headspace, use over powder wad of choice, fill with shot to just shy of rim, use gas check reversed and crimped. Hardest part is working up the load that will function. I used win 231 started at 5 gr and went up.
    Enjoy the journey.

I have using .223 brass, just like the .380 one's in the thread below this one, a bit longer to the shoulder though.
