Yeah I heard last week that china put a halt on export of it along with several other metals.

Lucky for most casters, we have an abundance of it in range recovery lead... just have to put in a bit of work to get it.

There must be domestic sources. I have some specimens from a local mine.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

Antimony is found in many countries, including China, Russia, South Africa, Tajikistan, Bolivia, and the United States. In the United States, antimony resources are mainly in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada.

    Production

China is the world's leading producer of antimony, accounting for over three-quarters of the world's total. The United States produces antimony primarily through recycling, mainly spent lead-acid batteries.

Recycling batteries is a very small amount, which I'm guessing is all getting scooped up by the government...

Hopefully now that china has put a lockdown on export, domestic supply starts back up

The ability to increase production of Antimony (and other Rare Earths, Metals, Petro & Lumber products) will depend 100% on Trumps choice of Interior Secretary (Doug Begum) being approved by the US Senate and doing his job as promised to USofA citizens; and on the Legal System where the "Mostly Peaceful Tree Huggers" and legal Cabal of the "Save the World" lawyers and Judiciary's Judges at local Federal, Intermediate, and Supreme Court. Expect massive lawsuits to delay or even stop efforts to produce any of these products - despite the campaign promises during the Last Presidential Election.

I'm a chip stock invester; I invest in companies that either produce computer chips, or either build or utilize advanced computer systems (like 5G) in their product. I'm always searching for new investment opportunities. I can tell you from experience that many stock brokers and annalists have morals that would make a used car salesman look like a saint. There's a very common occurrence in the market that I refer to as "the flaming bag of dog poo". (only, I use a less decent word than "poo") You all know the old trick; some rotten little brat sets a bag of dog crap on fire on your porch, rings the doorbell, then runs. You come out, see the fire and stomp it out, and now you've got a mess all over your shoe and porch. Unscrupulous stock brokers will play a similar trick on the unsuspecting public by selling them stocks that they know are worthless. The referenced article about the acquisition of an antimony mine in Slovakia is a prime example of this.

Wither it's online videos or webpages like the one referenced above, a broker will either by design or through fate have interest in a stock that isn't worth the paper that it's written on, and will promote it like a carnival barker as the deal of a lifetime. "This is the next big thing!! You need to get in on this game changing deal right away!! Don't miss out!! You need to buy this disruptive, once in a lifetime opportunity while the timing is right!! etc." Yeah, the average dude that "dabbles in the stock market" isn't savvy enough to do the analytics, and that fool and their money soon part ways.

This particular stock: Military Metals Corporation was flat at around 28 cents a share, but then had a price build up around October to 99 cents a share as brokers began to push the stock. The share price seemed to only be increasing because of the sales pitch. Then on Nov. 22nd the share price went off the edge of a cliff straight down to 37 cents as the bubble burst and the shills realized that they'd been sold stock at prices way above it's actual valuation. If folks had done their homework before they bought in they would have seen that the profit margin on Military Metals Corp was 0.00%, the return on assets is -30.75%, and the three year return on investment is -84.58%

Now, this press release regarding Military Metals Corp was posted on a bullet casting forum because of our mutual interest in antimony as a bullet alloy ingredient, but the article itself was written as an investment recommendation, and as that I found it hilarious because from the investing side of things it was so incredibly obvious and cheesy, and had all the hallmarks of a scam. (which, based on actual stock performance - it was) The only reason that this stock hasn't fallen even farther is because some of the investors that bought into this turkey are trying desperately to offload their shares on some other unsuspecting shill, and the market sales volume because of this is the only thing propping the price up.

yeah. I posted it based on the first two bullet points in the key takeaways at the top. Only skimmed the first part of the article. Wasn't intending, even inadvertently, to suggest as an investment.

I noticed the price of antimony was up and tin was down compared to last time I looked at Rotometals. If I was buying from them today, I’d mix up some 96-2-2 instead of my usual 96-3-1.
