    Favorite spring gun scope?

For a long time my R9 with the Simmons scope would change zero every time I took it out. Tonight I noticed the reticle has rotated about 30 degrees off axis. Wonderful scope I tell ya. Time for a new one, what is everybody's favorite decent but not too expensive obviously better than this Simmons scope for their spring gun?

I'm interested in the info too. I have a Beeman springer that I want to put a scope on.

Doing some reading last night, the Hawke Airmax line seems to get good reviews. Still looking for input here too though.

I have a Hawke Airmax 3x9 on my Hatsan model 95. It's a gas piston, not a springer, but its recoil broke the crosshairs on 2 Bugbusters. The Airmax has crosshairs that are etched into a glass lense, so they can't break. After a very fair estimate of more than 5000 shots it's holding up just fine.

I chose a Hawke Vantage IR for my HW95 springer, could not be happier! The lenses are beautifully clear, adjustable objective and an etched glass reticle that has adjustable illumination, red or green.

Yup, my favorite is a cheap old Tasco 2.5 x 10 varmint! I paid $25 for them on clearance shipped to my door! I got a double on gray squirrel two for two this morning using that scope and it’s got probably over 6000 shots on it and still going strong. The last time I called Tasco they still had a few for sale that you could order from them direct for around 66/78 bucks I think. I should say Bushnell now since they’re the ones that own them now.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I ended up getting a Hawke Airmax 2-7x32 on sale from Optics Planet. I got it mounted tonight and I am quite impressed. I had apparently been fighting that Simmons scope for years. I just thought I was getting fliers because I didn't hold well enough or the rifle wasn't all that accurate. Well, with the new scope it doesn't do that any more, I was shooting nickle size groups offhand at 25 yards with no problem. All of a sudden it hits right where it's pointed. What a revelation! This should make for a much more fun rifle now. So, thanks!

I've used Leupolds and Bushnell Elites on magnum spring rifles like the RWS350 and 48 with zero problems. The Leupold 3-9X EFR makes a great little airgun scope.

You made a wise purchase. I have a Benjamin with the gas spring that has eaten two springer rated scopes. The Airmax handled it well for a number of years before sitting on a PCP. The glass is really good too. Strangely the el cheapo 4x scope it came with has stood up to the punishment about as long as the Airmax did but of course looking through it is closer to looking through a soda bottle

I have had a UTG Bug Buster 3x9Scope for about 15 years, and it has been mounted on several guns including my R1. It is currently on one of my HW35's where it's been for the last 3 years. I have definitely gotten my monies worth out of that optic. I think I paid $79.95 for it originally. Now they are $139.95

Excellent glass and clear images all the way to the edges.

Not sure what they claim. Bought mine for the reputation of holding up to magnum springers. After several years on one, have not needed a warranty

Both my Air Arms springers have Leupold 3x10 adj object scopes, the older Vari-X-III models. Neither have suffered issues nor come loose after 1000's of pellets.

Hawke states that they provide a lifetime warranty on their scopes and that they warrant them for use with ANY caliber rifle. Good 'nuff for me......

I use Leupolds on my spring guns. I've also had good luck with Bushnell Elites.
