    Scope Mount Question

On a rifle that is drilled and tapped with three holes (one piece Leupold base), are there any two piece bases that allow use of Weaver style rings?

Are you asking if you can mount a base with only one screw? Possibly, I don't see why it wouldn't work. But I wouldn't feel good about it. Without knowing any details of the gun or scope it's hard to say much more. But if your only objective is to use Weaver rings, why not find (or make) an appropriate one-piece base.

I used to do that for the XP-100. Rear bridge only had 1 hole. Check to see if the rear mount is making full contact. Never did find one that did. Bed the rear mount and let it fully cure before you mess with it. Slow curing compound lasts the longest. Most times I used Millet, Weaver or any steel mount I could find that was the right height.

I was thinking of using one screw on the rear mount with some loctite (blue?) under it.

Found a one piece at Brownells that takes Weaver style rings. Prefe4 a two piece so I can have easier access to load.

Do you mean 11mm dovetail rings? Weaver and pic are both about 13mm wide and usually work together. It is usually only the one-piece pic scope mounts that won't line up with the slots on Weaver base

Missing critical info here. What make and model of rifle?
On rear bridge similar to Mausers you most likely have to remove some of right rear corner of the rear mount to clear the bolt handle.

If you have the mount why couldn't one remove some material in center over magazine area until happy? 1/4" carbide and then some small sanding drums followed by a whack of cold blue nobody would know you were there. Not perfect but maybe?

I think the front mount does most of the work. I have not had any issues using a Leopold two piece set on a Model 7 that is factory tapped with only three holes—it is, however, only a 243, and I used a light weight 4x scope. I believe the back ring’s weakest link is the windage adjustable screws’ grip on the base of the ring.
