Quote multiple posts?

I can select the little quote mark next to several posts in a thread, and believe that this copies them into a place where I can later paste them into a response to the thread, but I can’t find a button for pasting them in.

Would someone please explain in detail how to do this simple thing? I’m sure it’s so intuitive that I’ve overlooked it, but I think I’ve mashed every possible button.

On the bottom of each post, you see three buttons

Reply | Reply With Quote | a quote box with +

That last button is the multi quote button, you hit that on any posts you want in the reply, then on the last post you want in the reply, you hit the "Reply With Quote" button, and they all appear in the reply box.

If you want to reply to them individually, as above, you have to put your response between the ending quote tag and the starting quote tag of the next quoted text.
