Dimensions of Saeco 430 265 grain

    Hello,

I'm looking for the dimensions of the saeco 430, 265 gr rnfp mould.

I'd be interested in metplat, overall length , nose to crimp groove length, and distance or point where the diameter reaches .430 if above the crimp groove.

I'm between that mould(measurement pending) and a mould offered by Accurate called the 43-265M

These look fairly similar, price is close, and I've heard saeco makes great moulds.

    Thank you
    Sgm

Don't know about eith one of those molds. I'm a huge fan of the Mp 432-640 fn mold. It casts +/- 250gr hp and a 270gr rnfp bullet.

None of these targets are hand/cherry targets by any means. Used to shoot a lot of smallbore and have a bunch of targets laying around. The targets in the pictures are 50yd small bore nra targets.

    A beater 629 and a heavy load of unique (11.5gr) 6=shot group @ 50yds.

Same bullet being dialed in for plinking at steel @ 100yds with a 10" bbl'd contender. Put a fast fire III on it and was dialing it in. The chicken scratch of targets is what I used starting with the top row left target. Shoot a couple shots, do a couple clicks, wash/rinse/repeat. Ended up with the bottom right target.

A close-up of that target. While only a 3-shot group, it was there to tell me my final adjustments on the reddot.

Gave that blammo ammo 7.0gr of bullseye load 1 click to the right and several clicks down and beat on a bunch of steel.

I checked my Spreadsheet to be sure, I don't have a sample of it to measure for you. Sorry.

    Postscript,
    Howdy and welcome!

The Saeco 430 265 grain bullet is one I looked at for years. I never purchased one because back in those days, after speaking to them by phone, they could not guarantee the bullet would cast large enough to be sized at least .430". Unless things have changed I would go with a like design by someone who can make it cast large enough for your needs.

Saeco Bullet Mold #432 44 Special, 44 Remington Magnum (430 Diameter) 265 Grain Flat

    Six (6) reviews on the mold/bullet. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1010350988

My Saeco mold produce fat bullets. Will not need linotype to get diameter. Lyman, different story. Need #2 alloy

Saeco mold are* regulated* with this alloy. Taracorp’s Lawrence Magnum
bullet alloy (2% tin, 6% antimony, 1/4% arsenic,
    91.75% lead).

Antimony makes larger diameters & harder bullets

    OOPs, didnt read bottom post.

SAECO regulates their moulds for Taracorp's Lawrence Magnum Alloy - 91.75% Lead/2% Tin/6% Antimony/.25% Arsenic.
