Here is my winter look. Now that it is starting to warm up it is time to start loosing all the hair. I am holding two Boer/Nubian cross babies named Adam and Maddie. This hybrid seems to be more resistant to parasites and disease than regular Boer or Nubian goats.

Best wishes from the Boer Ranch,

Tyrants use the force of the people to chain and subjugate-that is, enyoke the people. They then plough with them as men do with oxen yoked. Thus the spirit of liberty and innovation is reduced by bayonets, and principles are struck dumb by cannon shot: Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma

Working up an interest in projectiles with one of the nephews. Kids/Rocks/Water is a formula for endless entertainment.

This was a picture of the whole crew on that outing (daughters, nephews and me, with my perpetually pregnant sister-in-law in the background).

    Isn't that the truth.
If you get a woman involved in the shooting sports you have involved her whole family. This in turn dramatically increases the number of people who support the 2nd Amendment. Please support women in becoming shooters.

Are you going to be there? http://secondamendmentmarch.com/

Yeah, my sister was slightly annoyed when I started showing the 2 YO nephew the basic rock splash technique. Can't figure out why. I hope she's gotten over this kind of prissyness by the time I buy the kid a pellet gun

Now seriously guys. Quit stealing all those pictures from the Post Office, and put up some of your own!
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

    My ugly self

I took a little downtime while I was in Iraq last year to help open a school for kids in a little village called Al Noor about 20km south of Kirkuk. 20 kids got a new school and supplies after Al Qaida blew up their schoolhouse in 2005 for teaching girls.

Yeah, I'm not much taller than them.
