    Interesting. And yes, my .45 Colt boolits are cast of soft lead.

    Yes, they are Uberti's. Originals would be chambered in .44 Russian. Excellent shooting revolvers that I'm able to consistently shoot very accurately. The 45 Colt really knocks down steel plates with authority.
    I have a shoulder holster from River City Junction. I'm probably going to take one of them along during antlered deer season in PA this year.

    I own a couple originals but then I am more of a collector, and I don't shoot SASS or whatever comps.

    If I had run into a reproduction before I got these I would have bought it.

    I have almost a dozen top break smiths. All three sizes in both double and single action.

    That was in his book, Sixguns by Keith. He related that the "old timers" considered the round ball a much better killer than the conical bullets available to them.
