I have weighed some of my military brass and some of the commercial stuff was actually heavier , volume tests are good to do when approaching higher end loads .
And yes I had always heard military brass reduce loads , but there is differences even in different lots and brands of commercial , I try to lean to the lower side and stay safe .
Had a 17 Remington all original , was a favorite , had a coworker try to give me a 17 Winchester with a Johnson automatics barrel , I passed as he was the kind you then owed something to .
I ream the crimp out with a Lyman spinner mounted on the side of bench , use a Lee APP and deprime then ream then tumble wash and size , have a fondness for the M1 , shoot in the range CMP matches when I can .
Doing 2500 cases is going to be a lot , and the en blocs are getting more expensive , as is everything though .
