ID:	329138I am wanting to try some gas checks but
I don’t want to buy a thousand so I’m wondering if
someone in the castboolits forum in Australia has a couple of hundred I can buy off them. I think I should use .308 gas checks on this projectile. I’ll be use them in my new 30/30 rifle. Hope someone can help me
with this would be much appreciated. No

    Neo,
I use that bullet in my '06 with a check in place. I've shot them over 1850 fps with good accuracy and no leading, my lube is the NRA 50-50 product sold by White Label Lubes. One caution to you - If your 30-30 is a Marlin with Microgroove rifling you may find that this bullet is a little small in diameter. I like a 0.311" finished diameter for that rifle. If you're traveling north of 1400 fps you'll need the checks. Buy a thousand for yourself, you won't regret it!

I use that same 170 gr. cast boolit in 30-30 , 30-06 and 7.5 Swiss...
there was a gas check group buy on another site ... just a few short years ago .
I started with 1000 but soon changed my order to 2000 and by the time it was ready to order ... I got 5000 !
They are all almost gone now ... I wish I had ordered more .
Go ahead and get 1000 they won't last long ... if you get a discount for ordering more ... order more and get the discount ... 10 years from now you will be kicking yourself for Not Getting them !
